First of all, thanks for an awesome service and for all the work you do! Also, tons of thanks for providing a free MQTT broker so people like me that don't host their own can get started fast.
Now to my issue. I am trying to connect to the ThingStudioMQTT you provide and send some test messages to see how it all works but I can't connect. I am using MQTT FX.
I am pretty sure I am doing something wrong since I never used an MQTT broker with websockets until now. In the past I used to connect to my local broker using port 1883 without auth or 8883 with auth so this is what I tried at first.
At first I tried to connect to mqtt.thingstud.io on port 1883: without user credentials, I get Not authorized to connect; using my thingstudio user credentials -> I get Bad username or password.
Since 1883 didn't seem to work, I tried then to connect on port 8883 with my thingstudio user credentials and got nothing, the connect just spins and times out.
Lastly, I tried to connect on port 9001 (which I was almost sure is not the right thing to do but being out of options...) both with and without user credentials -> I get Connection lost.
I noticed in the docs this:
--Use Server Credentials--If checked, the username and password below will not be used, but users will be prompted for a username and password. Check this box if you are using an open broker--
I didn't want to mess with the settings on my connection in the dashboard but I wonder, should I uncheck that checkbox in order to be able to publish some data?
I apologize for taking your time, it would be great if you coul help me understand how I can connect to it.
Thanks in advance for your help!
